The Blog

Messing around with the layout of my blog a bit.

Trying out a new header, one that I think will work until we get a new family picture (a monumental feat these days! :))

Wondering if anyone knows how to categorize my posts and label them? I haven't got a clue how to do this.

I'd like to start a series and have several topics in mind. If you have a second (and an opinion) would you let me know which series interests you the most?

Attaching with toddler adoption/Attaching with teen adoption/Why International Adoption/How to start the process for international adoption/Disciplining Toddlers

Thanks and good-night all! :)

  1. Oh my vote is for disciplining tots! I'm not sure what needs to be done to get through to them. I feel like all I say all day long is "No no! Don't do that, stop that. You're gonna get in trouble." It's tiring...

  4. You should be able to categorize your posts each time you write one. At the bottom of the section where you write your post there is a slot for a label. Blogger categorizes them for you by label.

As for topics, you already know I would like the "how to start" topic. Just waiting to be 30 so China is an option. ;)

  5. I think Why International Adoption would be a short subject. Not that you don't have lots to say, but there would be relatively few posts under that subject where there would be a lot under the bonding/attachment and discipline because those are daily activities. Maybe the why adoption/why international adoption should be a link to a hidden page. Also, if your biological children are reading this, these topics leave them mostly out of the picture. So how about 1. Attaching/Growing Together as a Family, 2. Challenges of Parenting at Any/Every Age, and 3. Counting my Blessings. That takes care of the topics you have in mind and adds your biological children and the celebrations of family life as well as your faith into the picture.
