Gabbey and Johanna also made friends today! Gabbey wanted nothing to do with her yesterday :), but they started playing at the Civil Affairs Office this morning and it was SO precious to watch! I think they're going to be great sisters :).....
I need to get some more hairclips. I brought lots of pretty ones for Johanna, but she wants to wear her hair back in a clip like mine, and I only have ONE clip like that one. :) Imitation is sweet, however, so I'll buy another hairclip....
Last night when we got back to the hotel, Johanna brought me her signed book from school (think yearbook, without pictures) and pointed to a phone number. She wanted to call this person. I wasn't sure how I felt about that, so I pulled up google translate and asked her if this was a girl friend from school?
Her response?
It is her TEACHER. So sweet. We checked at the front desk and it is a long distance call, but not too expensive. She tried calling last night, but didn't get an answer. I will let her try again tonight.
Both girls are napping, and I think I'll go join them!

ReplyDeleteIt's adorable that she wants her hair to be like yours. Our daughter to be had a sister in China who now lives in the States and she came with phone numbers, too. I look forward to hearing how that goes.
