Wow. I am so amazed.
Johanna just ran up to me with her arms wide open (and a huge smile on her face) and hugged me, then kissed my cheek and said "I love you, Mommy!"
Who knew a hug and a kiss could mean so much?
She has accepted my affection, but not returned it before now. I hold her hand everywhere we go, touch her cheek, play with her hair, rub her cheek, etc, to show her I love her. She usually smiles, but hasn't reached out to me yet....
Until tonight. :)

ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear Johanna opening up like this - just amazing, a true God thing! I was just telling my husband last night, how God had your family in mind when it was her turn. Your stepping out like this is truly amazing!
